Since its founding in 1882 the Egypt Exploration Society’s mission has been to explore ancient Egyptian sites and monuments, to create a lasting record of the remains, to generate enthusiasm for Egypt’s past and to raise awareness of the importance of protecting its heritage. Today the Society supports archaeological research projects throughout Egypt. We rely almost entirely on the support of our members and the wider public to fund our work and run an extensive programme of educational events in Egypt, the UK and beyond to convey the results to our audience.

This website has been established to provide online course material to those registered on events run from our London Office. Some evening classes will be available for registration by online participants and all course content will be uploaded here – including the presentations (with audio guide from course tutors). Once registered you will receive a password to access the pages relative to the course you have enrolled on and your course tutor will schedule conference meetings via an online provider to facilitate any questions you may have regarding the course material.

Detail of other EES events can be found on our website, where you are also able to enroll on evening classes – please check that they are labelled as ‘Online’ before attempting to participate as an online delegate.
